How to Find Dynamics GP Registration Keys

To activate additional users or modules within GP you must enter in the registration keys within Microsoft Dynamics GP. Registration Keys are no longer emailed but are now found in Microsoft’s Portal CustomerSource.

1. Log into the CustomerSource Home Page
2. Once logged in, click the username on the top right-hand corner and click My Products & Services

3. The Products and Service Summary page lists all registered products as well as service plans, to access the registration keys click Registration Keys for the product you wish to access.

4. On the Request License Keys page, if applicable, select the version you wish to access under the Request and Display License Keys Version drop-down menu then click Display License Keys

How to Enter Registration Keys into GP

1. Select Administration from the Navigation Pane List
2. Go to Setup > System > Registration
3. In the registration window, enter the Site Name and Registration Keys as they appear in CustomerSource and click OK

***TIP: To avoid errors copy and paste Registration Keys directly from Customer Source***

1. On the right-hand side of the screen click the question mark, then click About Microsoft Dynamics GP …

2. Click the Options button in the navigation bar which will open up the options screen, all modules which have been registered will have a check-mark in the registered column

Generate Payroll Keys for MultiCompanies

Each time a new payroll company is created a new registration key is required. You must log into CustomerSource to generate new registration keys.

From within CustomerSource at the top right-hand corner click the username:

1. Log into the CustomerSource Home Page
2. Once logged in, click the username on the top right-hand corner and click My Products & Services
3. On the Products and Service Summary page click Registration Keys for the product you wish to access
4. Click Manage MultiCompanies, enter the company name exactly as created in GP and click Add Company

5. Click Return to License Keys page
6. Scroll to Canadian Payroll for the registration key

Entering Registration Keys in GP for Payroll — Canada

There are two ways to access the Payroll Control Setup – Canada window, if you have created a new payroll company log into the new company prior to following the steps below.

1. Select HR & Payroll from the Navigation Pane List > setup > payroll > control > enter the registration key > save

2. Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Payroll – Canada > Control > enter the registration key > save

3. Once the registration key is entered and saved you MUST log out of Microsoft Dynamics GP and log back in, this will activate the registration key.
